We Serve
During Worship
Worship at Beneficent Church involves many voices and a host of talents. For most services, one of our Deacons calls us together in the sacred space to prepare us all for worship, then a youth from our congregation reads the scripture lesson. Other church leaders offer words about a special offering or announcing a unique event.
Beneficent has a place for all of its members and friends in the worship service. Opportunities include:
- serving as a greeter/usher to welcome folks into the space and assist them during their stay
- reading a lesson during the service (usually done by a youth or young adult)
- helping to prepare refreshments for Fellowship Hour after the worship
- cleaning up the space after the service and after Fellowship Hour
- preparing flowers for the altar
- singing in the choir
And perhaps the most important service of all: simply being with us and worshiping as part of our community!
