Space & Parking

Monthly and Event Parking

In an effort to help with the parking shortage in downtown Providence and raise funds to support Beneficent Church, we rent parking spaces in our lot both on a monthly basis and for events.

Monthly Parking

For those who work in the neighborhood, we offer monthly parking in our lot at a rate of $175/month. That fee includes unlimited access between 6am and 6pm weekdays. (There is no overnight parking.) The Church maintains the lot and arranges for snow removal in inclement weather. Payment can be made in cash, by check, or online.

Event Parking

During performances at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC), Beneficent Church’s parking lot is usually open one hour before curtain for theatergoers who come to the city. Guests should enter from the Weybosset Street entrance and exit onto Chestnut Street. The parking rate is posted at the entrance to the lot. To reach PPAC, walk to the front of the church, turn right, and proceed one block.

For more details on parking at Beneficent Church please contact the Church Office at office@beneficentchurch.org.

We are a very diverse congregation, welcoming and accepting all who enter our doors. Beneficent not only talks the talk but walks the walk! This is why I love Beneficent and happily continue to worship, serve the congregation, and practice my faith.

Irene Hope

My husband and I are very happy to be a part of the Beneficent Church family, in this day and age of marriage equality and acceptance of all God’s people. A blanket of love was found here. In our 25 years together we have searched Rhode Island for a spiritual home and found Beneficent to be genuine, accepting us and our “Lady Lucy” (miniature Schnauzer/West Highland Terrier) for who we are.

Michael and Bill, and Lucy, too

I was looking for a place I could feel whole, and my search was over once I began attending Beneficent Church. I am very grateful for each brother and sister who attends because it wouldn’t be as welcoming and loving without them.
