Worship
Gather With Our Community
When our community gathers for worship – whether in person or virtually – there is a palpable joy… a feeling that we are in the presence of something special. And that energy is reflected in the way we worship.
Worship at Beneficent Church is based in the Christian tradition. We celebrate Holy Communion the first Sunday of the month and follow the calendar of Christian observances.
When you visit, you’ll notice that our prayers come from a variety of faith traditions, and the music reflects a variety of styles. We embrace elements of different cultures, traditions, and experiences. Which means that, no matter where you’ve been, you’ll find a way to connect with worship at Beneficent.
Worship Schedule
Worship: Sunday at 10am
Holy Communion: First Sunday of
each month
When we gather in-person on Sunday, our parking lot is available during worship; it has two handicapped-accessible spots, including one that is van-accessible. In addition, all street parking in Providence is free on Sundays.
During Bad Weather
During inclement weather and when there is a parking ban in Providence or a state travel ban, we are unable to worship in the church building. In those cases, our service will take place virtually.
While our virtual worship requires some adjustments to the gathering, these online services still have the energy, spirit, and joy of in-person worship.
Look for an announcement on your local TV station, our Facebook page or here on this site. We will post a link to the virtual worship here so you can join us online!
Accessible For All
All of the worship spaces and most of the meeting rooms at Beneficent Church are handicapped accessible. There also are accessible bathrooms throughout the building.
As a standard practice, we provide large-print copies of our weekly worship bulletins for those who are vision-impaired, and we have available in Braille a complete Bible and the “New Century Hymnal” – one of the hymnals used for worship.
